Seventeen years on from the release of the first Harry Potter Film, the Philosopher''s Stone, Lochaven International have once again brought the magic from the big screen to life. Due to continued request from their loyal customers, Lochaven began the process of obtaining licensing to produce replicas of the knitwear uniforms seen in the first two films. As Potterheads will know, the knitwear uniform worn by the cast and characters was significantly different in the Prisoner of Azkaban than in the first two films. This later uniform has been available for public sale on Lochaven''s website for a number of years and has proved extremely popular with Harry Potter fans around the world.
Lochaven International''s Harry Potter knitwear can be found in Universal Theme Parks in California, Orlando and Japan, as well as at The Harry Potter Studio Tour in Leavesden. All staff at the magical Wizarding World of Harry Potter are dressed in the later uniform, the exact sweaters seen in the films, which feature the Lochaven label. Despite the popularity of this uniform, fans were still not satisfied and wanted their own piece of the early films.
After months of product development, yesterday, at 5pm the Official Warner Bros. Harry Potter Gryffindor V-Neck went live on the Lochaven website. This new sweater is a replica of the uniform seen in the first two films, made of 100% acrylic, a change from the 100% lambswool of Lochaven''s other products. As always, Lochaven ensures its products remain movie accurate and this sweater is no exception. As the original was 100% acrylic and the replica reflects this, it should also appeal to their vegan customers.
Despite being on the website for less than 24 hours, the sweater has already proved popular among fans. With only 60 available in the first release, Harry Potter fans should not delay in purchasing their own piece of the magic, or they may miss out this time around.
